          MRS. GEO. G. ELLIS PASSES AWAY 
         
          Former Henderson Woman Dead After Lingering Illness 
         
          Word was received in the city Friday of the death of Mrs. George 
          G. ELLIS at the home of her sister, Mrs. Minnie CHIPMAN, 
          in Owensboro, after a lingering illness. 
         
          Mrs. ELLIS was born in Tennessee and was seventy-three years 
          old at the time of her death. She was the widow of the late George 
          G. Ellis, who for many years was in the grocery business on Main 
          Street, and at the corner of Green and Center Streets. 
         
          After her husband’s death some years ago she went to Owensboro to live 
          with her sister. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian 
          Church. Her nearest relative beside her sister is a nephew, Walter 
          ALBRITTON, of Mayfield, Ky. 
         
          The remains will be brought here this morning on the 9:15 train from 
          Owensboro, and will be taken immediately to Fernwood Cemetery where 
          the services will be said by the Rev. Thomas CUMMINS. 
         
          The pall-bearers will be C. A. KATTERJOHN, J. McClain STANLEY, James 
          R. RASH, Sidney W. MATTHEWS, Judge John L. DORSEY and E. C. WARD.
